Can you believe we’re at the end of January? I can’t believe it or the fact that we’ve been back in the UK for 3 weeks since going home to Australia! I’m kind of glad it’s going by quickly though since that means we’ll be moving into warmer weather… bring on the sun! For now though warming dishes and drinks are the way to go in this English cold!
Speaking of England, what better way to stay warm than with a nice hot cup of tea… with a twist! Have you heard of a London Fog Tea Latte (London Fog), otherwise known as an Early Grey Tea Latte? I had never heard of it, let alone tried it but last week I was waiting in line to get a coffee from one of the cafés near our place and the people in front of me were talking to the girl behind the counter about it. So I decided to come home and Google what it was.
I love Earl Grey tea so I knew it would taste great! I made a simple Paleo version and it was delicious and warming! Perfect for a rainy day (or not)!
Paleo London Fog Tea Latte
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240ml/8oz) strong brewed Earl Grey tea.
- 1/2 cup (120ml/4oz) coconut milk. For UK readers use this one. If you want a Primal version, use raw milk or grass-fed full-fat milk instead.
- 1 tsp vanilla paste.
- Maple syrup/raw honey to sweeten as desired. (optional).
Method:
Set your brewed tea aside while you add the coconut milk into a small saucepan.
Place on low to medium heat and allow the milk to warm up.
Once the milk is steaming, add in the vanilla paste and mix through.
Remove from the heat and pour into the brewed tea.
Add in your maple syrup/raw honey if you want.
Using a milk frother, like this one, whisk until frothy.
Serve hot/warm and enjoy!

Thanks for your comment! I have tried adding coconut oil in tea, but it’s really not the same as a bulletproof coffee 🙂
Yes, it was delicious! I wish I had some lavender, I think that would work well in this!
Yum! I will totally have to do that! I wonder if you could do something like ‘bulletproof tea’ and make it with butter and blend it in place of the coconut milk. Thanks for the recipe! x
I am a huge fan of the London Fog. Don’t get me wrong, I love my cold brew in the morning, but the enticing bergamot aroma of Earl Grey tea is rather amazing! 🙂
