I can’t believe it has taken me this long to share this post with you all. I’ve been wanting to share a post on the town Joe and I live in here in England ever since we moved here over a year ago now but I have just kept putting it off. To be honest though when we first moved here our first apartment was in a not so nice area and there wasn’t much to share! Luckily we moved out of that place into the one we’re in now and there’s definitely lots more to share around here. Sometimes it’s still hard to believe that we have moved countries twice, first from Australia to America and then America to here and it’s taken me just about this one year to get adjusted to life here, it was the same in America and took me about that long to get used to life in Michigan (we lived there for 2 years). Can you believe we’re at the end of January? I can’t believe it or the fact that we’ve been back in the UK for 3 weeks since going home to Australia! I’m kind of glad it’s going by quickly though since that means we’ll be moving into warmer weather… bring on the sun! For now though warming dishes and drinks are the way to go in this English cold! Cinnamon Eats – A Year in Review of Paleo Food and More

So here we are almost at the end of another year… talk about time flying huh! I thought I would take this moment to share with you a year in review of what’s happened here at Cinnamon Eats in 2013. Going through my posts from the start of the year until now felt like taking a trip down memory lane. A lot has happened in this past year and being able to share it here on this blog with all of you has been amazing!

Let’s begin shall we….

At the start of the year I wrote my review on the documentary ‘The Perfect Human Diet’ and had a lot of you commenting on that post. If you haven’t watched it yet I recommend you do so.

Paleo Pear Crumble

If you looked outside our living room window right now you would think it was the middle of Winter and not the beginning of Spring! There is snow EVERYWHERE and it has been FREEZING for the past few days! According to The Daily Mail this is the coldest March since 1963!

Apparently last year at this time temperatures reached to 22C/71F which is not even HOT, especially to an Aussie who is used to temperatures of 30+C/86+F… but I’ll tell you what that 22C sounds PERFECT right now! In fact anything over 10C/50F would make me happy right now… a statement I would have NEVER made back in Australia.

Since the weather’s been like this I haven’t really felt like doing much other than staying inside and keeping warm! Luckily The Healthy Life Summit is on, so I spent most of Sunday listening to the first day of podcasts and I’m currently listening to the second day of talks while typing out this blog post. So far the talks have been excellent! Who else has been listening?

Uhhhh well enough about the weather, it’s unfortunately one of those things that you can’t control but hopefully the sun will come out to play soon (fingers crossed). [Read more…]
